Sr. A/R Collections Representative

Role Description-

Based out of our corporate office in Chicago IL, the Senior Accounts Receivable Collections Representative will manage the accounts receivables for a portfolio of accounts. This position runs reports, accurately maintains AR aging, analyzes and distributes information, monitors incoming payments and works directly with customers and internal team members to resolve billing and invoicing discrepancies. This position will work closely with the Commercial team floor members and leadership and report directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and preferably experience in the transportation/LTL industry.

Requirements

Job Duties & Responsibilities-

• Serve as the primary AR contact for customers and your assigned Sales Team. 
• Manage collection efforts by monitoring aging reports, following up on past due accounts, and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies, including freight bill adjustments and pricing disputes.
• Navigate 3rd party business to business payment platforms for billing issues and payment updates
• Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and potential issues.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
• Maintain accurate customer files and documentation for audit purposes.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications-

• 3+ years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable role in the logistics field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS). Revenova experience preferred.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to work in office 0730-0430pm Monday – Friday
