Employee discounts Job Details Responsibilities: 1. Assist attorneys in all aspects of real estate transactions, including documentation, due diligence, closing and post-closing activities for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
2. Undertake legal research and provide detailed reports on property and legal regulations applicable to each real estate transaction.
3. Prepare legal documents such as contracts, leases, deeds, and other legal documents related to real estate.
4. Manage and track the progress of transactions and legal matters, ensuring all deadlines are met.
5. Coordinate complex closings, including managing the distribution of documents and coordination with title companies, lenders, brokers, and other parties.
6. Draft consent resolutions and prepare and file government review submissions.
7. Conduct title surveys, review title commitments, exception documents and surveys, interfacing directly with the title companies and surveyors to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
8. Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with appropriate entities and manage the company's real estate document management system. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of five years of experience as a real estate paralegal or similar role within a legal environment.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of real estate law, including experience with complex closings and real estate transactions.
3. Proven experience with legal document preparation, title survey, financing and government review submissions.
4. Proficiency in drafting consent resolutions and managing real estate acquisitions.
5. Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong research and report-generating skills.
8. Proficiency in using legal database software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
9. Paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
