Job Description

We are seeking a full-time School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year. The selected candidate may support either a junior high setting (7th–8th grade) or an elementary setting (K–4th grade), depending on district needs and candidate experience.

This role requires a strong understanding of special education processes, compliance, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a school setting.

Assignment Details:

Position: School Psychologist (1 Opening)
Schedule: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Estimated Dates: August 18, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Potential Placements:
Junior High (7th–8th grade)
Elementary (K–4th grade)

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
Participate in IEP, 504, domain, eligibility determination, and manifestation determination meetings
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Support MTSS implementation and intervention planning
Maintain compliance with IDEA and Illinois special education regulations
Complete documentation and reporting within required timelines
Requirements
Active Illinois School Psychologist license/certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong knowledge of IDEA and Illinois special education rules and regulations
Experience with:
MTSS processes
Special education timelines and compliance
Manifestation Determinations
Scheduling and facilitating domain meetings, EDCs, and ARs
IEPs, 504s, DS, and MTSS systems
Experience using:
Q-global
FastBridge
Google Docs
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
