Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

As a Production Worker, you will be responsible for working on packaging machinery, ensuring smooth operations and quality control of products. You will handle tasks such as setting up and operating machinery, managing jams, adjusting equipment, and checking products for defects. This role requires comfort with heights and the ability to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging machinery.
• Manage auto packager, cutter, and filler.
• Adjust hoses, blades, and add new film and rolls to machinery.
• Set orders and runs into the computer system.
• Handle jams and unclog machinery.
• Check products for defects and ensure quality control.
• Operate machinery that fills, cuts, seals, and packages sauce packets and containers.
• Connect hoses to tankers and fillers.
• Climb ladders to access the top of machinery.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of GMP experience.
• 1 year of packaging experience.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Comfortable lifting 40 lbs individually.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanine above machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual capabilities.
• Experience in machine operating and packaging machinery.
• Experience in blending and batch mixing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean and temperature-controlled facility featuring packaging machinery, kettles, and tanks for mixing. The floor consists of various tanks, machinery, and packaging lines, providing a pleasant atmosphere with a nice smell. Employees are required to wear hairnets, beard nets, no jewelry, work pants, and non-slip boots, adhering to GMP standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $18.85/hr.
