INCLUSION MANAGER

The Inclusion Manager is responsible for all activities related to the creation and sustainability of diversity programs at the Chicago Housing Authority. The incumbent will lead and provide subject matter expertise to the Human Resources and Executive Leadership team in the development and implementation of initiatives, both internal and external. This position has one direct report.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external resources, thought leaders, community partners and vendors.
  • Consults CHA leaders in developing and integrating diversity & inclusion management goals and strategies into all business and planning processes and practices.
  • Participate in CHA senior-level management meetings representing community interests.
  • Direct internal and external DEI outreach efforts.
  • Develop and implement diversity metrics and assessments to effectively benchmark organizational progress in diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Develop CHA policies and procedures that address the needs of the community.
  • Increase diversity of participation in the Conventional Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs.
  • Advocate for diversity interests in CHA development, hiring and procurement ensuring the community receives its proportionate share.
  • Engage, inform and educate the diverse communities about CHA activities and represent the CHA at community events.
  • Be a thought partner with our talent acquisition team.
  • Manage staffing metrics related to DEI.
  • Other duties as assigned by Deputy Chief of HR or designee.
QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, Master degree preferred, and a minimum of five (5) years of diversity management experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be personable and able to motivate others, an excellent collaborator, results-oriented, and have excellent follow through. Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated expertise with strategic diversity and inclusion management methodologies and related planning, execution and measurement of effectiveness. Solid project management skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams. Energetic, results-oriented and resourceful leader who is capable of effectively influencing and partnering at all levels. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary Range - $80,000- $90,000

Grade: S8

FLSA: Exempt
