About Us Itzchel by Peke’s is an elevated Mexican restaurant in the heart of Pilsen, celebrating the flavors, ingredients, and traditions of Mexico through a modern dining experience. We are passionate about quality, consistency, and hospitality, and we’re looking for talented cooks who take pride in their craft.
Position: Line Cook
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and chef standards.
- Set up and maintain your station before, during, and after service.
- Execute dishes with consistency, speed, and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
- Properly label, date, and rotate products (FIFO).
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during service.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with prep and closing duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Weekend and evening availability required.
