Job Summary:
To answer and transfer incoming calls.
To assist visitors at the window.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to provide outstanding customer service at all time, no matter the situation.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
According to the Federal Student Aid Handbook, in general, students are not permitted to work in work study positions during schedule class time. Students who do not adhere to this policy will be subjected to discipline up to and including termination. There are exceptions, for example, if an individual class is canceled, the student may work during that time if the supervisor documents the exception.
Essential Duties:
1. Answer all incoming calls
2. Transfer calls to correct department or person
3. Assist with lost and found
4. Answer police lines during staff breaks/ absences
Other Duties:
Become familiar with the college departments, procedures and personnel.
Physical Demands:
Sedentary (up to 10 lbs occasionally, sitting most of the time)
Visual Acuity:
Close visual acuity (e.g. computer, assembly)
Work Environment:
Moderate noise
