• Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Location: Memorial Belleville PACU, Belleville, Illinois (62226) – Near St. Louis
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (08:30 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2010-$2060
• On-call: 1–2 times weekly (weekday or weekend), 45-minute response time
• Floating: Required between Belleville and Memorial East (Shiloh), 15 minutes apart
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Visits/Day: 32
• Charting System: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Parking: Free onsite

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (American Heart Association preferred)
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Proficient in ventilated patient care, IV starts, telemetry, dysrhythmia recognition/management, and procedural sedation
• Conscious sedation experience preferred
• Ability to float between Belleville and Shiloh (Memorial East) locations
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from Belleville, IL
• References preferred at time of submittal

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Assist anesthesia providers with nerve blocks prior to surgery
• Discharge patients home as appropriate following recovery
• Manage ventilated patients and perform IV starts
• Monitor and manage telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Administer procedural and conscious sedation safely
• Float between PACU units at Belleville and Memorial East (Shiloh) as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation for weeknight and weekend coverage
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more
