Essential Job Functions
The Financial Analysis Coordinator will support the Revenue team in a variety of areas, including the administration of billing rates and ensuring information relating to costs, rates, and client groups are maintained in the Firm's financial system. This role will also provide support in the compilation and delivery of standard reports, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of this reporting. The Financial Analysis Coordinator will assist with special projects as they arise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary.)
- Billing Rate Administration
- Establish billing rates for new timekeepers, as well as update rates for existing timekeepers as needed
- Provide standard billing rate information to partners; provide billing rate ranges on demand
- Prepare client rate lists for the billing and eBilling teams, as well as clients
- Maintain and upload/enter rate overrides
- Support the review and audit of firm-wide billing rates
- Maintain Filing Accommodation Committee emails
- Administer and Update Financial System Data
- Set cost overrides per outside counsel guidelines
- Maintain/verify client groups
- Update coding for average hours
- Reporting
- Produce monthly standard reports and manage report subscriptions
- Assist in preparation of financial schedules for the annual partner meetings
- Assist in gathering financial data for RFPs; partner with Planning & Analysis and Marketing teams to provide responses to client RFP submissions
- Assist the Planning & Analysis team in the compilation of reports (e.g. Average Hours, etc.)
- Opportunities to expand responsibilities and progress within the Revenue Services function are available for individuals based on strong performance and the desire to grow
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with previous experience in a professional services firm, preferably in a law firm, is desired. A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or comparable experience) is preferred.
- Attention to detail and the eagerness to learn are imperative. Individuals are expected to exhibit strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence.
- The candidate must have the ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting firm deadlines and be capable of working with all levels of Firm personnel, both as part of a team and independently. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required and the individual must be proactive and results oriented.
- Candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills in order to clearly and concisely summarize observations, conclusions, and recommendations.
