Industrial Maintenance Technician

Target Metal Blanking is a leading supplier in the automotive industry, specializing in high-volume metal blanking operations. We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, including blanking presses, automation lines, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime.
• Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs (primarily Allen-Bradley and Siemens) to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.
• Diagnose and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, and motor control systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Collaborate with production and management teams to support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and drive technologies (VFDs, servos, etc.).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as needed.
• Preferred: Experience with metal stamping or blanking operations.
• Preferred: Experience using CMMS.
