Paraprofessional
Job Overview
Rochelle Township High School seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Paraprofessional for the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Duties
- Coordinate appropriate services with teachers, counselors, school nurses and student families
- Assist students with special needs and/or English Language Learner students in daily learning activities
- Provide translation support
- Communicate with staff members when problems or concerns arise
- Attend in-services as requested
- Other duties as assigned by RTHS Administration and/or the Superintendent
Experience
- Professional Educator License or Paraprofessional License through the Illinois State Board of Education by: successful completion of sixty (60) semester hours of college or university coursework; or hold an Associate's degree (or higher); or successfully pass the ACT WorkKeys Assessment Test or the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment Test along with a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is highly sought after
Work Hours: 7:45am - 3:15pm
Typical Work Year: August 11, 2025 through May 21, 2026 or the last day of school (180 workdays)
