Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a middle school in Loves Park, IL, specializing in life skills education. This contract role follows the normal school year calendar with working hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM daily. The teacher will manage a caseload of approximately 14 students, delivering tailored instructional support to meet diverse learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs and state guidelines
• Providing targeted life skills instruction and support within the high school setting
• Monitoring student progress and adapting strategies to promote academic and social development
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community resources to enhance student outcomes

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 certification in Special Education
• Proven experience in developing, writing, and managing student IEPs
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
