Software Developer - IBM OS/400

Your Tasks

• You are responsible for the conception, design, and development of IT projects.
• You plan and execute tests to ensure software quality.
• You create and maintain program documentation.
• You contribute to the optimization of processes.
• In addition, you provide emergency support for the ERP system at our offices in Schaumburg and Santiago de Querétaro (Mexico) during the closing hours of our headquarters.

Your Qualifications

• You have experience in development with RPG; knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or C/C++ is a plus.
• You have practical experience on the IBM OS/400 platform (System i, Power).
• You bring sound knowledge and hands-on experience with databases, ideally with DB2 on OS/400.
• You are interested in and experienced with applying AI in software development, with the goal of increasing personal output through its use in everyday work.
• You are willing to work with code that is commented in German, while daily collaboration with the team in Marbach (Germany) will primarily take place in English.
• Very good written and spoken English skills are essential; German language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.
• Strong teamwork skills, flexibility, an independent working style, and the ability to perform well under pressure characterize your profile.
