Position Overview
The Assistant Foundry Manager supports the Foundry Manager in overseeing daily foundry operations and ensuring efficient, high-quality production. This role involves hands-on supervision of metal casting processes, process improvement initiatives, and operational troubleshooting.
The position plays a key role in optimizing production efficiency, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Foundry Manager in managing day-to-day foundry operations and production activities.
- Supervise metal casting processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to quality standards.
- Assist in process integration and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production and scheduling.
- Troubleshoot operational and process-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support smooth production flow and on-time delivery.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure alignment with operational targets.
- Provide leadership and guidance to foundry personnel, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in foundry operations, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of metal casting processes and related methodologies.
- Understanding of process integration and production scheduling optimization.
- Hands-on expertise in casting operations and manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work on-site in a hands-on, operational role.
- Experience within manufacturing or metalworking environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, Materials Science, Foundry Management, or a related field preferred.
