Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-regarded healthcare facility located west of downtown Chicago, specifically serving the Oak Park area. This 13-week contract position begins on June 1st and offers a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform typical inpatient clinical pharmacy duties, including medication verification and thorough checking processes
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
- Review and check intravenous (IV) preparations to maintain accuracy and patient safety
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and medication management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of one year of recent inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and pharmacy staff
Schedule:
- Day shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Rotating weekend shifts required
