Aon is looking for an AGRC US Actuarial and Analytics Great Lakes Region Director

This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work virtually and from our Chicago offices.

What the day will look like

+ Lead the Great Lakes Region Actuarial and Analytics team

+ Collaborate with the lead consultant on high profile and large accounts.

+ Have primary project responsibility for consulting services in the Great Lakes region as well as countrywide.

+ Provide the leadership that is vital to build and champion a team culture across all account service, brokerage and other Aon teams.

+ Ensure execution of annual strategic business planning and budgeting to grow the region at acceptable levels of profitability.

+ Ensure the attainment of business unit annual revenue and profitability goals through appropriate client fee negotiations, handling controllable expenses, developing efficient processes and procedures, and effectively using resources by pushing workload down to the appropriate level position for a given assignment.

+ Maintain effective day to day relationships with Aon team/client contacts.

+ Identify and establish relationships with Aon Relationship Managers and prospects, securing strategic proposal opportunities for risk consulting.

+ Ensure that the Aon work product is of high quality and provided in a timely manner.

+ Develop strategies and lead by example for developing risk consulting business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

+ ACAS designation or higher

+ Meets requirements to sign actuarial opinion.

+ 10+ years of work experience in an actuarial role

+ Ability to function at both the macro and micro level, think strategically as well as handle technical detailed work.

+ Ability to write standard reports for actuarial projects that clearly communicate findings and methodologies.

+ Proven understanding of PC related tools for actuarial analysis, technology applications and data utilizations for actuarial functions.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, risk management, or equivalent years of industry experience.

T he salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $185,000 to $264,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
