Are you an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk looking for a new and exciting opportunity?

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Alsip, IL looking to add Shipping and Receiving Clerks to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be preparing and shipping outgoing items, receiving and inspecting incoming shipments while maintaining inventory records. What your day will look like:

• Assembling and packing cardboard boxes or crates
• Organizing and storing small parts on designated shelves
• Transporting pallets of castings to machining cells for further processing
• Prepare and package items for shipment according to specifications
• Label packages with correct shipping information and track shipments
• Coordinate with carriers and shipping companies for deliveries
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
• Receive, inspect, and sign for incoming shipments
• Verify contents against purchase orders or packing lists
• Prepare and process shipping invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation
• Update inventory systems with received goods and shipment details

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of previous Shipping and Receiving experience
• Prior forklift experience required
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
