Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Vascular Interventional Radiology
• Position Type: Travel Contract
• Assignment Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Assignment End Date: November 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm (10-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,000 – $3,080

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or procedural setting
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or Certificate in Radiologic Technology
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Active IEMA Radiography License (Illinois)
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification
• Manual dexterity and ability to maintain a sterile field during interventional procedures
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in interventional neurology preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Perform peripheral vascular procedures, venous central lines, tube changes, and arterial/venous embolization
• Assist with neuro interventional procedures and venous thrombectomy
• Administer contrast material and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions as needed
• Work under the supervision of a physicist or dosimetrist
• Manage inventory and supplies for the radiology department
• Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment positions
• Document clinical information and procedures accurately
• Provide patient care, comfort, safety, and maintain confidentiality
• Fulfill all essential functions of a Radiologic Technologist, including on-call duties
• Participate in cardiac cath lab and structural heart procedures (TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, Triclip, ASD/PFO, CardioMEMs)
• Utilize adjunctive tools such as ICUS, FFR/iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTO as required
• Assist in training and onboarding new staff members
