The Little Lark is looking to expand our team and seeking a strong PREP Cook . The position will be responsible for prepping ingredients, making dough, and helping prepare pan pizzas and other delivery items from the kitchen during service.

Candidates must have relevant Prep and Line Cook experience within the hospitality industry.

The position is paid hourly and can expect to be scheduled 20-30 hours per week. Must be able to work weeknights, Plus nights and weekends.

Candidates must have relevant PIZZA making experience within the hospitality industry, or dough experience. A strong knowledge base and passion for artisanal foods and wine/spirits/craft beer is paramount. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction and overall success of the restaurants.

Ideal Candidates :

  • At least 2 year of kitchen experience

  • Experience making Neapolitan or Artisanal style pizzas dough, or other relevant dough making experience

  • Master pizza production in a hand crafted pizza oven

  • Work a busy service smoothly

  • Exceptional eye for detail

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and punctual

  • Great attitude, respectful and a team player

  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 50 pounds

 

Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Daily Preparation of food for menu
  • Executing a small number of dishes during service
  • Communication and establishment of dish pars
  • Knowledge of all culinary functions in the kitchen
  • Trouble-shooting any problems that may arise
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen
  • Station maintenance and cleanliness
  • Maintain a positive, pleasant, attitude every shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements :

  • Available to work various shifts thought the week, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to walk and stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and cut.
  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Frequent washing of hands
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cutting, burning, slipping, tripping

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Culinary degree and/or 2 yrs experience
  • Culinary knowledge and skills
  • Organizational skills and multi-task oriented

About Our Other Concepts:

Lardon ( Michelin Bib Gourmand 2022-25), highlights cured meats, artisanal cheeses, sandwiches and coffee in an old world style café environment. Our newly launched dinner service is our take on coastal French fare, with Midwestern sourced ingredients.
