Expert Cloud Security Architect

Role: Cloud Network Lead/Architect Location: Mountain View, CA Duration: 12 Months We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Networking Engineer to design, implement, and optimize networking solutions across our cloud environments. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing network connectivity for our global systems. This role will partner closely with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable cloud networking architectures that meet the needs of a growing, mission-critical platform.

Architect and maintain networking solutions in AWS and Google Cloud Platform including VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity. Design and configure load balancing, API gateways, private service access, and service meshes for modern application environments. Implement and manage cloud-based firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and SD-WAN

Enforce network security best practices, including zero-trust principles, segmentation, and encryption in transit. Partner with the security team to monitor for vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential threats. Support compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) through secure network design.

Lead advanced troubleshooting of network connectivity, latency, and throughput issues. Build automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) for network provisioning. Maintain observability and monitoring tools to ensure health and reliability of network services. Provide on-call support for critical infrastructure networking issues.

10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5+ years in cloud networking. Deep knowledge of AWS VPC networking, Google Cloud Platform VPC & VPC-SC, or Azure Virtual Networks. Strong background in routing, BGP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing in cloud and hybrid environments. Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh, ingress/egress). Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation). Familiarity with security tools, monitoring, and observability (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Network Engineer, CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent.
