Actuator Operator - Manufacturing | DuPage Machine Products

Job Summary

DuPage Machine Products is hiring a full-time Actuator Operator / Machine Operator to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for operating previously set-up production machines to manufacture precision metal components according to blueprint and quality specifications.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a machine operator, production operator, manufacturing operator, or CNC machine operator helper .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate previously set-up manufacturing equipment including:
• Drill Press
• Broach
• Machining Center
• Hardinge Lathe
• Load and unload raw material and finished parts
• Monitor machine operation during production
• Perform in-process and final part inspections
• Measure parts using:
• Micrometers
• Calipers
• Pin gages
• Drop indicators
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Record production on basket tickets
• Enter production data into the Vantage system
• Use SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards
• Follow supervisor instructions and company procedures
• Perform additional manufacturing duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
• Experience operating industrial machinery
• Ability to read mechanical prints and job travelers
• Knowledge of basic quality inspection methods
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
• Safety-focused mindset

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours per shift
• Ability to perform repetitive production tasks
