DHH Program Supervisor: Algonquin & Hampshire IL (Algonquin Area)
Licensure Required:
- Masters Degree
- PEL with Supervisory endorsement or Type 75 Administrative certificate.
- Must be certified in Education of DeafHard of Hearing

The DHH Supervisor works 200 days per year for 7.5 hours per day and earns $85,128 - $132,843 depending on experience.
As DHH Supervisor with NIA, you will will supervise teachers and all phases of programs for children who have hearing loss, including identification of children, the diagnostic process, the instructional program, and evaluation of progress, pursuant to the Rules and Regulations to Govern the Administration and Operation of Special Education.
DHH Supervisor Job Duties:
- Participate in IEP meetings, program planning, and development for students with hearing loss.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of teachers, paraprofessionals, and interpreters.
- Monitor compliance with district and state policies for deaf/hard-of-hearing programs.
- Supervise caseloads, scheduling, and program implementation for teachers.
- Provide technical assistance, curriculum development, and inservice training for staff.
- Consult with parents, audiologists, and school personnel on program needs, resources, and student progress.
- Collaborate with districts on recruitment, program assessments, and staff development.
- Maintain records, manage instructional materials, and report activities to leadership.
- Stay updated through professional development and contribute to program improvements.
- Travel within the region to support districts and cooperatives as needed.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions effectively.
