Position: Mechanical Technician – New Plant Opening

As we prepare to launch a brand-new, cutting-edge, fully automated high-speed facility in Belvidere, we are hiring both junior and senior Mechanical Technicians .

This newly constructed, state-of-the-art plant will feature the latest innovations in automation, robotics, and systems integration. To prepare you for launch, we offer comprehensive, fully paid training at our operational centers across the U.S.—including all travel, expenses, and a generous per diem.

Training follows a 10/4 schedule : 8 days of work, 2 days dedicated to travel, and 4 days off at home. Travel days are fully paid. The traveling will be until April.

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance
- Background in manufacturing or production environments
- Ability to work day, evening, or night shifts on a steady schedule
- Willingness to travel within the U.S. for a few weeks of fully paid training before being fully based in Belvidere

Key Responsibilities

- Provide leadership and accountability across all maintenance shifts in a fully automated environment
- Develop and manage performance reports; track KPIs and analyze recurring system faults
- Collaborate with the Site Manager to enhance maintenance procedures and meet service level goals
- Ensure proper staffing and scheduling for all maintenance teams; manage overtime and monitor efficiency
- Oversee use of the Witron Computerized Management System and ensure all scheduled, corrective, and preventive maintenance activities are completed
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering continuous improvement and ongoing skill development
- Maximize equipment uptime through effective execution of reactive and scheduled maintenance strategies
