Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.

The Job You Will Perform:

Responsible for the supervision, directing and leadership of one or more assigned shifts of hourly employees at assigned relief location in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.

Oversee all corrugator/converting supervisors and employees in the areas of safety, productivity, quality and housekeeping, while leading and motivating employees to work efficiently and effectively, ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product at assigned relief location.

Establish high morale at assigned relief location within your department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems. Maintain confidentiality.

Ensure compliance of all quality checks; coordinate upkeep of machinery with Maintenance team to minimize downtime; assist in troubleshooting machine problems at assigned relief location.

Oversee training employees, planning and assigning work at assigned relief location
-
Report to Site/Manufacturing Managers any issues that might affect overall production or plant operations.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
-
College and/or technical coursework preferred.
-
Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry required.
-
5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
