We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Safety & Compliance Assistant to help maintain our industry-leading standards and ensure our fleet remains compliant and safe.

Responsibilities:

• Driver Screening: Run and review MVR, PSP, and FMCSA Clearinghouse reports to ensure all candidates meet company and insurance standards.
• Onboarding & Hiring: Assist with the full driver onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
• Compliance Management: Maintain and update Driver Qualification (DQ) files in accordance with 49 CFR Part 391.
• Drug & Alcohol Program: Coordinate and track pre-employment, random, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
• Safety Monitoring: Monitor driver inspections, violations, and CSA scores; track expirations for CDLs and medical cards.
• Systems Management: Work within Tenstreet to manage applications and maintain accurate digital records.
• Communication: Serve as a point of contact for drivers regarding safety requirements, HOS regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the trucking/transportation industry required
• Experience in a safety or compliance role preferred
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety compliance requirements
• Experience with Driver hiring and onboarding process
• Familiarity with drug & alcohol program requirements
• Understanding of DOT inspections, violations, and CSA scores
• Ability to ensure drivers meet company and insurance standards
• Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
• Experience with ELD systems (Samsara, Motive, or similar)
• Ability to evaluate driver qualifications and support hiring decisions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, friendly, and patient attitude
• Basic computer proficiency (email, Excel, data entry)

This position will primarily be performed in an office environment at Quality Wheels' main office located in 1300 Remington Rd, Schaumburg IL from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
