Location: South Holland, IL
Pay Rate: $20.00.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift - 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Assignment Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements: Resume/Interview/Authorized to work in the U.S.
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented small parts set up candidate. This role is responsible for setting up and operating finishing machines to cut and shape both small parts to precise job specifications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate finishing machines for both small and large part production
- Follow set-up procedures to adjust machines for specific product size and shape requirements
- Change collets and diamond wheels as needed based on runout or job specifications
- Monitor production to ensure parts meet required dimensions and quality standards
- Measure parts consistently to maintain accuracy and quality control
- Complete production tickets and accurately record output
- Track and document non-conforming parts (NCP)
- Stop production and notify supervisor if NCP levels approach or exceed 10%
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Previous machine set-up experience preferred
- Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability read calipers, micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
- Ability to read and use measuring tools
- Comfortable working in a production environment
- Ability to follow instructions and quality procedures
