JOB TITLE: IT Project Manager

DUTIES AND

REQUIREMENTS:

Position is accountable for serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for members of the HR team, by providing technical expertise, support, and guidance in the HRIS/Payroll system in day-to-day operations. Interface with IT personnel on system projects and initiatives and coordinate with HR management. Perform periodic system testing and quality assurance checks. Act as the primary contact for system-related IT inquiries and coordinate with software support as needed. Also, acts as IT ancillary support for the County Human Resources Department and reports to the ICT Director.

Associate’s degree in business, Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five to seven years of prior experience working as a Project Manager or within 6 months to 1 year of hire acquire a project management certification from a reputable source. Prior implementation experience is highly desired. Thorough understanding of the interdependence of Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking and Absence. Government or Municipality experience preferred – (3) three years. PHR or SPHR preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Valid State of Illinois Driver’s License and minimum automobile insurance as required by law.

DEPARTMENT: Will County ICT

SALARY RANGE: $68,000 – $72,000/year
