About the Practice

The Corporate Restructuring group in Chicago advises clients on complex in-court and out-of-court restructurings involving distressed companies, creditors, sponsors, and investors. The practice handles a wide range of liability management transactions, bankruptcy-related matters, and negotiated restructurings across industries.

Attorneys in the group regularly work on high-profile matters involving both company-side and buy-side strategies, including 363 sales, plan sponsorships, and creditor-side representations.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an associate attorney with approximately 5–8 years of experience in corporate restructuring and distressed transactions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• In-court and out-of-court restructurings
• Company-side and buy-side/distressed investor representations
• 363 sale processes and plan sponsorships
• Liability management transactions
• Creditor and lender-side advisory work

Candidates should have strong academic credentials, substantial restructuring experience at a peer firm, and the ability to manage sophisticated, high-pressure transactions in a collaborative environment.

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $310,000 to $435,000 annually , with final compensation determined based on experience and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable law. This role may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
