Remote Prop Trader - Springfield, IL

Maverick Trading is hiring a fully remote Equity & Options Trader open to applicants in Springfield, IL. We are a 25+ year proprietary trading firm that allocates firm capital to disciplined traders and scales buying power based on performance and risk management.

Trading from the Midwest: Trade US markets from your local time — the NYSE opens at 8:30am Central and closes mid-afternoon. Chicago's CME complex makes the Midwest one of the most important trading regions in the world. Operating on Central Time means the NYSE opens at 8:30am local — an early but workable schedule that pairs well with the region's strong work ethic.

This is not a challenge account. Not a demo evaluation. We provide structured capital allocation for traders who want a professional path to scaling capital.

What you will do:

• Trade equities and options within defined risk parameters
• Follow a structured, rules-based risk management approach
• Build consistency and scale capital based on performance

Why options: Options allow traders to define risk, hedge exposures, and structure trades beyond simple directional stock positions. Maverick is one of the few proprietary trading firms that actively trades options as a core part of its trading approach.

• Willingness to complete the Maverick Qualification Program before trading firm capital
