High School Assistant Principal Secretary of Teaching and Learning
- Prepares written materials (i.e., schedules, reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
- Serves as a conduit for communication between administrators, staff, parents and students.
- Compiles data from a variety of sources (attendance, student discipline, etc.) for the purpose of complying with legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Maintains documents, files and records.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties by appropriate means of communication.
- Assists in supervision of student assistants
- A positive, professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively deal with conflict.
- Excellent technical skills; must demonstrate knowledge of a variety of computer software and database applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to problem solve
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
- Ability to multi-task and work with multiple interruptions.
- Previous office experience required; minimum of a high school diploma required.
- Spanish-speaking skills are desirable
- Sitting, standing, bending and walking.
- Significant amount of fine finger dexterity.
- Some lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling.
