Bartender

Kama Bistro – La Grange is looking for an experienced and professional Part-Time Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, confident behind the bar, and committed to delivering an elevated guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and accuracy
Execute classic cocktails, house cocktails, wine, and beer service to Kama standards
Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to bar and table guests
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times
Complete bar prep, restocking, and closing duties
Follow all recipes, portion control guidelines, and bar SOPs
Verify guest identification and comply with Illinois alcohol service laws
Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and management
Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and POS transactions
Assist with inventory management and bar maintenance as needed
- Knowledge on Toast POS system is a plus
Minimum 1-2 years bartending experience preferred
Strong knowledge of cocktails, Classics, spirits, beer, and wine
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy environment
Excellent communication and guest service skills
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Available to work on Saturday. Must be able to stand for long periods
Valid BASSET certification (or willingness to obtain)
