Job Description

This application is in the development stage currently. Global call centers use this application to open up guest profiles when they are booking a reservation. The application is connected from 20 back end applications, all feeding into this app. There are controller level components on the back end and the client logic will stay on the back end, but BE is owned by a different team so that this developer can 100% focus on the front end development. They need a strong React developer who understands how to speed up the application for maximum efficiency dealing with customer components. It is a must that this developer has developed an application from scratch for a customer/member profile.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of React, NextJS, end to end development, pushed a full web application

• Someone who has developed for customer profiles and booking

• Understanding of how to speed up an application for maximum efficiency

• Solid experience with SQL and relational database design.

• Expertise in RESTful services, API development, and integrations using APIGEE, nginx, and JSON.

• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka for building event-driven architectures and integrating microservices.

• Any caching tool experience(Kafka is plus, Redis also fine) - someone who knows how a web application component works for better performance

• CI/CD Pipeline experience (GITlab preferred)

• DataDog/Splunk or comparable tool

Excellent communication, collaborative strategic developer - Hospitality (travel and leisure) experience is a HUGE plus

• Java experience so that they can understand what's going on the back end
