Construction Manager - Federal Sector - NDER Program

We are recognized as an ENR Top 100 CM/PM firm for our commitment to quality and innovation. We are currently seeking a dedicated Construction Manager for Federal Sector projects to join our team.
This role involves overseeing construction projects within the federal sector, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing schedules and budgets, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing construction projects, particularly within federal environments.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or related field.
- 8+ years of construction management experience with renovations, MEP/HVAC upgrades, fit-outs, and window or lighting replacement projects.
- Experience working in occupied, operational buildings and complex environments such as public agencies, hospitals, universities, or government facilities.
- Strong field experience, including high-rise buildings and exterior cladding work preferred.
- Proven ability to manage client communication, project logistics, budgets, schedules, and change proposals.
- Proficient in construction management software including Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Kahua, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to review design documents, construction submittals, cost estimates, and quality assurance processes.
- Flexible schedule with ability to support occasional evening and daytime field work.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead construction management and owner’s representative services across renovation and MEP upgrade projects.
- Manage on-site construction activities including mobilization, fit-out, commissioning, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Review project schedules, budgets, construction documents, and contractor submittals for compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor field operations for adherence to drawings, safety standards, security requirements, and building codes.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, field reports, and status updates.
- Track project progress, identify issues, and communicate solutions effectively to project teams and clients.
- Support cost management efforts including estimating, cost verification, and change order negotiations.
