Construction Bookkeeper
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our company. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Transactions: Maintain and balance accounts by accurately recording all income and expenses.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor overdue accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll and handle related tasks such as time tracking, union reporting and tax documentation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Data Entry & Software Management: Input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, ensuring records are up-to-date and accurate.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and clients.
- Experience with union payroll and compliance preferred.
