Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs complex assembly to products, circuit boards, cables, and/or starters from work orders, sample assemblies, verbal instruction, or blueprints.
· Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other.
· Performs assembly for special customer orders.
· Assembles and attaches hardware to assemblies.
· Mounts assembled components.
· Assembles modules and other items as needed for repairs.
· Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified characteristics.
· Finishes all modules involving packaging, labeling, coating, etc., as necessary.
· May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
· Assists Level I and II Assemblers with more complicated assemblies.
· Connects wires to specified terminals following diagrams, wire lists, and color codes.
· Solders and bolts components in specified location on assembly.
· Reads blueprints, schematics, and technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations.
· Dismantles equipment and replaces worn or defective parts to repair malfunctioning equipment.
· Tests assembled equipment to locate defects, using functional test instruments.
· May be required to operate and train entry level employees on powered industrial vehicle operation.
· Continually improves processes; quantitatively monitors processes. Completes required quality core classes and uses skills and techniques presented. Uses The Core Values in work environment. Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
· Associates degree from a two year college in related field and three years of related experience and/or training; or five years equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must possess an intermediate level of understanding of theory of electronics and electronic parts; must have ability to read prints; must have experience or training in soldering.
· Ability to: read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization; add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform these operations using units weight measurement, volume, and distance; apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.

Pay Range
$20.66—$26.42 USD
