This hybrid position allows for 3 days per week working from our Chicago office.

What the day will look like
The Broker is responsible for the management of a portfolio of CORE accounts, including the placement and service, as well as ensuring client results are maintained. This individual is accountable for acting as the representative for the local office or region on new business and renewal opportunities. The individual will work in supporting local colleagues; promoting and ensuring connectivity, collaboration and cooperation within local office practices and team standards, functions and encouraging the sharing of knowledge, best practices and resources around our Property and Casualty accounts.
- Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Property, Casualty, Worker’s Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Excess, and Foreign Package policies.
- Advise and complete the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions. Completing placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including their renewals.
- Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the carriers and underwriters.
- Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team.
- Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 2+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
- Experience with Online Insurance Portals
- Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages.
- An understanding of CORE P&C risks and carrier appetites.
- Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis. Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Relationships with the carriers that write CORE P&C business.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills

Your employment is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining all Property & Casualty licenses in the required states, as designated by Aon. You must successfully complete the required course work and pass the examinations within 6 months of your start date. In addition, you will complete all required paperwork necessary in obtaining the licenses. Aon will be responsible for paying the costs associated with the coursework and examinations according to the Aon licensing policy. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the termination of your employment with the firm.
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $95,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan
