Unit Secretary Full Time Nights INTERNAL ONLY
Description
Unit Secretary facilitates positive communication and problem solving between Long Term Care and other hospital departments and staff. He/she is responsible for staff scheduling computer training assists with completion of evaluations of staff. Represents the interests of Long-Term Care on assigned committees.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of orientation. Successful completion of medical terminology course or working knowledge of the same. Current CPR certification. Must be willing to obtain CNA certification within one year of hire.
- Experience: Experience as medical field for a period of two years preferred.
- Job Knowledge: General office clerical computer and public relations knowledge required and knowledge of both Cerner and PointClickCare (PCC).
- Skills: Excellent keyboarding and advanced computer skills are required. Ability to communicate in an empathetic and compassionate manner with public directly or on telephone. Function calmly and efficiently during high stress situations. Maintain confidentiality
