LaSalle Network has partnered with a fast-growing SaaS startup right here in the heart of Chicago in their search for a Sr. Content/ Copywriter. As our client moves through an exciting phase of growth, they have partnered with us in their search for a top writer to shape how the company sounds as they grow and scale.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a writer who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and wants real ownership over brand voice and storytelling.
You’ll partner closely with Brand, Design, Product Marketing, and Executive Leadership to create clarity, consistency, and confidence across every touchpoint.

This position is onsite full-time (5 days a week) in the heart of the city (with paid parking!).

What You’ll Do:

• Define, own, and evolve the company’s brand voice across web, product launches, campaigns, PR, thought leadership, and executive communications
• Write clear, compelling brand and marketing copy that simplifies complex SaaS and technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Build foundational messaging frameworks, positioning, and narrative systems to support rapid growth and go-to-market initiatives
• Collaborate closely with design, product marketing, and leadership to bring brand stories to life across channels
• Act as the go-to steward for tone, voice, and storytelling quality across teams
• Contribute to naming, messaging, and creative direction for new products, features, and major company moments
• Help define how the company shows up culturally and competitively within the startup and SaaS ecosystem

Who You Are:

• 7+ years of experience as a brand writer, copywriter, or content strategist
• Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience writing within SaaS, B2B tech, or high-growth startups
• Must have experience building a brand voice from the ground up, in a fast-paced, evolving environment (and must have examples in portfolio showing this)
• Exceptional writing skills with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Comfortable balancing strategy and execution, from big-picture narrative to hands-on writing
• Confident partnering with senior leaders and contributing to executive-level communications
• Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by ambiguity and growth
• Able to distill complex ideas into clear, credible, and engaging language

This is a highly impactful role with a growing organization, and will play a foundational role in shaping the brand, with high visibility to leadership!

This position is full-time and offers competitive compensation, benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k PTO), and room to grow with the company.
This position pays a base salary ranging from $125k-$145k (with bonus potential).
