Position Description: 

LayerZero Power Systems is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our Software team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of our software. The candidate will collaborate with the Software D development team to enhance product functionality and reliabilities

Requirements

Primary Duties:

• Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
• Identify, record, and track defects.
• Collaborate with developers, managers, and customers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to improve software quality.
• Automate testing processes using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience in software testing, with a solid understanding of testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Pytest).
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Javascript, Python, C++) is a plus.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• US Citizenship or C1 Permanent Resident Alien status
