Job Description

Property Maintenance Inspector job responsibilities shall include:

• Perform property maintenance and field inspections.
• Attend project meetings about inspections.
• Answer property maintenance code and inquiries in writing and over the telephone.
• Meet with clients and prospective clients as assigned.
• Attend meetings with clients, trade associations and represent the company as assigned.
• Maintain applicable certifications by attending training sessions as assigned.
• Perform basic residential building inspections.

During periods of heavy workload or slow periods, the employee may be required to assist in other areas. Such requests shall not be interpreted as a change in jobs or job description. The employee confirms that he/she is qualified and prepared to perform the duties described herein.

Job Qualifications:

• Three to five years of demonstrated inspection experience.
• Current model code certification (ICC, and related standards).
• Multi-tasking ability, flexibility and capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license.
• Comply with the certification requirements per company policy and as outlined by their supervisor.
• Spanish/English fluency a plus.

Physical Requirements:

While conducting inspections an individual must be able to the meet the following minimum physical requirements:

• The ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to walk on property maintenance sites. This includes conducting inspections on uneven surfaces.
• Able to climb a ladder.
• Ability to walk up/down multiple flights of steps.
• Be able to stand for an extended period of time.
