Key Job Details – OBGYN RN Locum Tenens

• Location: Ottawa, IL 61350 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: OBGYN Unit (14 beds, 11 nursery beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 15, 2025 – December 15, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p-7a); every other weekend required
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (excluding orientation)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 – $2,540
• On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent OBGYN nursing experience
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NRP certification
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Must pass a drug screen (OSF is a drug-free campus)
• Willingness to wear provided scrubs

OBGYN Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care for preeclampsia, manage Magnesium therapy, and support laboring mothers
• Provide postpartum and newborn care; ability to deliver a baby if needed
• Utilize Obix central fetal monitoring and Epic (Stork) for charting and medication administration
• Adhere to AWONN staffing guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Participate in a 12-hour orientation and ongoing unit-specific training
• Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach in all healthcare interactions
