Business Development Manager - Demolition
Webuild () is seeking a highly accomplished Business Development Manager – Industrial Demolition to drive national growth for complex, large-scale industrial demolition projects across the United States. This senior-level role is designed for a strategic, relationship-driven professional with deep industry knowledge who can identify opportunities, cultivate long-term client partnerships, and expand market presence within industrial, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidate will serve as a front-facing leader for the organization positioning the company as trusted partners for technically challenging demolition programs. This role offers the opportunity to influence corporate growth strategy, develop key accounts, and pursue multi-million-dollar, landmark demolition projects while collaborating closely with executive leadership, estimating teams, and operations to convert opportunities into successful project awards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead business development efforts for industrial demolition projects nationwide, identifying and pursuing new opportunities within manufacturing facilities, power plants, refineries, heavy industrial sites, and large-scale redevelopment initiatives. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with asset owners, developers, EPC firms, general contractors, public agencies, and industry partners to generate and sustain a robust project pipeline.
Responsibilities include leading client outreach, market analysis, and strategic planning efforts; preparing and delivering compelling proposals, presentations, and interviews; and collaborating with estimating, preconstruction, and technical teams to align pursuit strategies with client needs. You will support pricing strategy development, assess project risk and feasibility in coordination with operations leadership, and help position the firm for long-term programmatic work and repeat business.
You will also represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, strengthening brand presence and market credibility. By maintaining awareness of market trends, regulatory environments, and competitive dynamics, you will help guide strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities in industrial demolition and infrastructure redevelopment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) and bring 10+ years of experience in business development, client management, or senior project leadership within industrial demolition, heavy civil construction, or related industrial sectors. A strong understanding of demolition means and methods, industrial site constraints, safety requirements, and environmental compliance is essential to effectively engage technical clients and stakeholders.
Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of generating new business, securing multi-million-dollar contracts, and managing high-level client relationships. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to operate independently while collaborating across internal teams. Experience working with national clients, complex procurement processes, and long-cycle sales efforts is strongly preferred. Proficiency with CRM platforms, proposal development tools, and Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
Why This Opportunity is Compelling
This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the growth of a national industrial demolition platform at a strategic level. You will play a critical role in pursuing transformative projects that support industrial redevelopment, infrastructure modernization, and energy transition efforts across the United States. With access to executive leadership, operational expertise, and strong technical resources, you will have the autonomy to build relationships, influence market strategy, and leave a lasting impact on the organization’s trajectory. The role includes a competitive executive compensation package, performance-based incentives, and long-term career growth potential . This is a remotely based position and can be based anywhere in the continental United States.
