Electrical Project Manager
Structure Resources is seeking a Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with our client, a nationally recognized, full-service industrial electrical contractor. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in industrial electrical construction. This individual will lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, overseeing planning, coordination, and execution to ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What They’re Looking For
Proven experience managing electrical construction projects in industrial and commercial environments
High School Diploma or equivalent (additional education or industry training a plus)
Valid driver’s license and proof of work authorization
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes, guidelines, and safety standards
Ability to estimate labor, materials, and timelines accurately
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working independently within a team-based culture
Ability to meet physical job requirements, including site work and ladder access when required
Key Responsibilities
Drive and promote a strong safety culture across all projects
Manage electrical projects from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, staffing, and material procurement
Coordinate all aspects of project proposals, budgets, and timelines
Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine scope and execution plans
Perform take-offs and draft change orders as needed
Order materials and request personnel for current and future projects
Partner with project foremen to establish goals and execution plans
Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and performance standards
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, guidelines, and customer specifications
Communicate effectively with clients, field teams, supervisors, and internal departments
Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate billing and documentation
Support business development efforts and help cultivate new client relationships
Attend staff and sales meetings as required
Coordinate and attend municipal inspections
Complete all required reports, forms, and project documentation
Location & Travel
- This role is located in Elgin, IL and will support projects within 100 miles of that location. Open to relocation
