Electrical Project Manager

Structure Resources is seeking a Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity with our client, a nationally recognized, full-service industrial electrical contractor. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in industrial electrical construction. This individual will lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, overseeing planning, coordination, and execution to ensure work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing electrical construction projects in industrial and commercial environments

• High School Diploma or equivalent (additional education or industry training a plus)

• Valid driver’s license and proof of work authorization

• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

• Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes, guidelines, and safety standards

• Ability to estimate labor, materials, and timelines accurately

• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Comfortable working independently within a team-based culture

• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including site work and ladder access when required

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and promote a strong safety culture across all projects

• Manage electrical projects from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, staffing, and material procurement

• Coordinate all aspects of project proposals, budgets, and timelines

• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to determine scope and execution plans

• Perform take-offs and draft change orders as needed

• Order materials and request personnel for current and future projects

• Partner with project foremen to establish goals and execution plans

• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and performance standards

• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, guidelines, and customer specifications

• Communicate effectively with clients, field teams, supervisors, and internal departments

• Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate billing and documentation

• Support business development efforts and help cultivate new client relationships

• Attend staff and sales meetings as required

• Coordinate and attend municipal inspections

• Complete all required reports, forms, and project documentation

Location & Travel

• This role is located in Elgin, IL and will support projects within 100 miles of that location. Open to relocation
