Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Millwright/Welder to join our industrial maintenance and fabrication team. This role requires a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting our production and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems and structural components using a variety of welding and fitting techniques.

This position plays a key role in ensuring machinery and equipment function properly and that production schedules are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, technical schematics, and written instructions to determine layout, welding requirements, and project specifications.

• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or flux-core welding (based on qualifications) to fabricate and repair components made of steel, stainless steel, or other metals.

• Fabricate and install structural steel, brackets, supports, piping systems, and mechanical components in accordance with job specifications and codes.

• Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and heavy equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and lift trucks.

• Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated components to ensure structural integrity and conformance to industry standards.

• Operate hand and power tools, cutting torches, grinders, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow company safety policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to complete assignments on time and within specifications.

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with preventative and corrective maintenance tasks when necessary.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a welder, millwright, or industrial maintenance technician in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and welding symbols

• Working knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication tools

• Physical ability to work in demanding environments—standing, lifting, climbing, and working in hot, cold, or noisy conditions

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed to meet production demands

• Welding certifications preferred but not required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a union or industrial plant setting

• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems

• Forklift or crane certification is a plus
