Account Payble / Recievable

This is a remote position.

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment to suppliers while maintaining compliance with company policies and tax regulations. Plays a critical role in maintaining vendor relationships and supporting cash flow management.

Accounts Payable (AP) Functional Accountabilities:

• Process supplier invoices, verify approvals, and ensure proper coding and matching with purchase orders.
  
• Schedule and execute payments (ACH, EFT, cheque, wire) timely and accurately.
  
• Monitor and manage vendor accounts and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
  
• Maintain AP aging reports and communicate payment status to stakeholders.
  
• Assist with month-end accruals and reporting related to payables.
  
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements (e.g., sales tax, HST) and internal controls.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  
• Experience: 2–4 years in accounts payable or finance role, preferably in manufacturing or cross-border environments.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP), Microsoft Excel, and accounts payable software.
  
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of invoice processing, payment methods, vendor management, and applicable tax regulations (including cross-border sales tax/HST).
  
• Skills: Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills. Able to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
• Other: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive financial information.

• Invoicing Processing Time - ≤ 3 business days from receipt
  
• Percentage of Invoices paid on time - ≥ 98%
  
• Month End AP reconciliation - 100% by day 3
