AI/ML Engineer

The AI/ML Engineer integrates AI/ML capabilities into the data mesh, supporting metadata automation and ethical AI use aligned with DoD Responsible AI guidelines.

Responsibilities:

· Automate metadata extraction using ML.

· Validate AI/ML pipelines and produce readiness reports.

· Ensure explainability, drift detection, and compliance in testbeds.

· Support data-driven innovation for clinical and operational analytics.

What We Look for:

· Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; normalization and denormalization.

· Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools.

· Design and implementation of scalable data warehouses and data lakes.

· Ability to design efficient data solutions based on business needs.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Active DoD Secret Clearance

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field

Great if You Have:

· Experience supporting the DoD or other federal agencies in a data-centric role.

· A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

· Expertise in NLP, OCR, and DoD AI guidelines.

· Familiarity with Advana’s analytics tools.
