Accounts Payable & Human Resources Assistant

Peoples National Bank of Kewanee is a long-time financial institution in Kewanee, Illinois. We opened our doors on March 1st 1928, and have been serving our communities for over 95 years. We have two branches in Kewanee, IL, and eight additional branches in Annawan, Bradford, Dwight, Manlius, Reynolds, Sheffield, Seneca, and Tampico IL. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable & Human Resources Assistant.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Process and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain vendor relationships
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with other departments to address any payment-related inquiries
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
Human Resources Responsibilities:
-Perform administrative duties
- Maintain employee records and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate
- Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment and changes
- Assist with employee relations, including responding to employee inquiries and escalating issues as needed
-Assist with processing payroll
- Assist with maintaining our retirement plans
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned to fulfill the responsibilities of the position

Requirements
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Human Resources or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
