To support our ongoing expansion and our strategic focus on data quality, we are hiring a Product Data Specialist to elevate the integrity and performance of our product catalog.
As a Product Data Specialist, you own the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all item data inside NetSuite and related systems. This role ensures product information is structured properly for quoting, purchasing, warehousing, configuration services, e-commerce, and compliance. Over time, this role can evolve into a Product Data Manager or a Product Manager focused on catalog strategy and vendor content.
Key Responsibilities
Product Data Governance
- Maintain accurate and complete item records within NetSuite
- Enforce item standards, naming conventions, and taxonomy
- Audit item data quality and resolve gaps proactively
- Maintain item lifecycle designations (Active, Discontinued, Restricted, Legacy)
Item Creation & Maintenance
- Manage new item creation workflows and required fields
- Validate vendor data (MPNs, descriptions, costs, lead times, equivalencies)
- Collaborate with Configuration Center teams to ensure items support build workflows
- Address item master issues impacting quoting, purchasing, and order orchestration
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing to support enriched product content
- Support Sales Operations on quoting-related troubleshooting
- Work with NetSuite Admins to improve forms, workflows, and automation
- Assist in vendor feed mapping and potential PIM integrations
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Build saved searches and dashboards to monitor data health
- Document SOPs and maintain data governance materials
- Recommend process improvements to enhance speed and accuracy
- Assist in data-cleanup efforts for legacy items
Requirements
- 1–3 years of product data, purchasing, operations, or ERP experience
- Familiarity with enterprise IT hardware/software product structures
- High attention to detail and strong data governance mindset
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Intermediate Excel/CSV skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite OneWorld experience (saved searches, workflows)
- Experience with SCA/e-commerce product data requirements
- Exposure to PIM platforms (Etilize/NIQ, 1WorldSync/CNET, Icec)
- Experience supporting warehouse/configuration operations
