Strategic Sourcing Manager

We’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who thrives at the intersection of business needs and vendor solutions. If you are a master of the RFP lifecycle and a disciplined Waterfall project manager who knows how to coach stakeholders from a vague 'I need this' to a high-impact 'Best and Final Offer,' we want you to lead our next major sourcing initiatives. Day-to-Day: What You’ll Actually Do

• Facilitate Workshops: Run "discovery" meetings with stakeholders (Marketing, IT, HR, etc.) to extract project requirements and build RFP questionnaires.

• Project Management: Manage a "desk" of multiple concurrent RFPs, tracking milestones via a Waterfall methodology to ensure on-time delivery.

• Vendor Management: Lead vendor presentation sessions (demos) and moderate the feedback from the internal scoring committee.

• Data Analysis: Aggregate raw scores from stakeholders into final decision matrices to identify the "best fit" supplier.

• Post-Mortems: Conduct professional debriefs with unsuccessful vendors to maintain the company’s brand reputation in the marketplace.

• Tools: Utilize Zip (or similar intake tools) to keep the sourcing process organized and transparent. Why This Job?

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle RFP Leadership: Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, from initial business need identification through to final award and documentation.

• Strategic Scoping & Evaluation: Partner with business units to translate vague needs into technical requirements, develop weighted scoring models, and build objective evaluation scorecards.

• Communication "Gatekeeper": Serve as the sole point of contact for all vendor communications, ensuring a fair, competitive, and compliant RFP environment.

• Commercial Negotiation: Drive BAFO (Best and Final Offer) negotiations to secure optimal pricing and terms before handing off to Category Managers for final contracting.

• Stakeholder Coaching: Act as a consultant to internal business partners who may be unfamiliar with formal procurement, guiding them through the rigors of Waterfall project management.
