Salary: $50.00/hr. with per diem split and $60.00 overtime straight. Paid housing.

Contractor- A&P Technician for Crucial MRO facility at MDH - Southern Illinois Airport in Murphysboro Illinois.

Pay rate is $50.00/hr. with per diem split and $60.00 overtime straight. Paid housing.

Job Requirements:

The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic is responsible for the day-to-day aircraft maintenance activities, including aircraft preservation and letter checks. Hired applicants will be responsible for reporting to their immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements and specifications established by Crucial, its customers, applicable government agencies, and the manufacturer's manuals.

• Perform regular system inspections.
• Maintain systems and equipment.
• Use gauges and diagnostic tests to detect malfunctions.
• Repair or replace broken aircraft parts.
• Perform troubleshooting.
• Keep maintenance and repair logs.
• Use power and hand tools.
• Understand and apply guidelines from manuals and blueprints.
• Ensure compliance with regional safety regulations.
• Collaborating with other mechanics
• Self-Motivated

Education and Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a current, valid drivers License
• Must have a current, valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
• Experience on CRJ900, EMB 135,140,145 and Boeing B737 is preferred but not required. Heavy check, sheet metal and composite experience is a plus!

Minimum Requirements:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places
• Be able to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
• Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals and exposure to loud noises
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information
• Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
• Must be able to read and write English
• Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required
• Must have Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Must be able to read and write English
